Team ELG

The ELG team are based out of two main offices in Darlington and Harrogate. Details of all the team members and the best way to contact them is given in this section.

All our eligible staff are Members of the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Practice has been awarded RTPI Learning Partner status in recognition of our high level of commitment to training and professional development. In 2016 the practice was awarded the RTPI North East Planning Excellence Award and Highly Commended in the same category of the East of England award in 2017 & 2018. In 2017 and 2019 ELG were shortlisted nationally for Planning Consultancy of the Year and were Highly Commended in the RTPI East of England Learning Partner Award in 2020 and by the RTPI Learning Partner Awards for its Graduate Training Program in 2020. Finally, in 2024 the practice was awarded a commendation for the Newcastle Engineering Building which has been put forward for the National Planning Awards as well as a Best in Region award for ‘Darlington Yards’ at the RTPI North East Planning Excellence Awards.

As we approach our 30th year in practice we look fondly on the many projects that the practice has played a part in delivering and remain thankful to our loyal client based many of who have been using ELG for many years to provide their planning, heritage and viability advice.

 

Why ELG Planning

As a practice we perform a variety of roles for our many clients depending on the nature of the brief. We are regularly required to undertake a whole project management role alongside the usual planning reports, whilst some clients just require a planning report or even just the knowledge that we are on the end of a phone should any planning issues arise.

With a long established and settled team, we work alongside many other professions during the course of a project and these contacts are essential in providing the level of service we commit to with every project.
