North Stainley

We will be holding a community consultation event at North Stainley Village Hall, The Square, North Stainley, HG4 3JT on Wednesday 19th June 2024 between 4pm and 7pm where details of the proposals will be on display and representatives of the Estate’s development partners will be available to discuss the proposals and answer any questions you may have.

Residents and interested parties will also have the opportunity to provide comments and help us evolve the proposals further before submitting a full planning application to North Yorkshire County Council in due course.

For those who are unable to attend the consultation event, all the information presented will be available on the website following the event.

There are four ways in which you can comment:

1. Attend the Community Consultation Event and complete a comments form;
2. Via the website at;

along with your comments.

Please provide all comments by Thursday 4th July 2024 at the latest.

This community involvement exercise will not replace the normal consultation exercise undertaken by North Yorkshire County Council when dealing with the formal planning application. All responses will be held by the company in accordance with GDPR 2018. Your contact details will not be made public or be retained on any database.


North Stainley Estate, Wynyard Homes and ELG Planning are undertaking a community consultation to update you on the Estate’s proposals to complete it’s 50 year vision for North Stainley. These proposals include the building of approximately 145 houses, the delivery of a new primary school (including a range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities for community use) and the provision of a new café and local shop within the Staveley Arms to complement its existing use as a pub.
