Rother Valley Country Park
Working with AHR Architects, ELG provided planning support to Rotherham Borough Council to achieve consent for a new café and events space to serve the Rother Valley Country Park.
The development has been funded by the Government’s Levelling Up Fund to provide improved facilities for Rother Valley Country Park, which is identified by the Local Authority as a key location within the Borough for outdoor physical activity and adventure. The site is located in the Green Belt and ELG Planning produced a robust Planning Statement to demonstrate that the proposals represented an appropriate form of development in such a location and also managed the application submission working alongside the wider project team to ensure that all relevant planning considerations were satisfactorily addressed.
